Job Introduction

The Frequentis Group is an international supplier of communication and information systems for control centres with safety-critical tasks. These ‘Control Centre Solutions’ are developed and distributed by Frequentis in the business segments Air Traffic Management (civil and military air traffic control, aeronautical information management, air defence) and Public Safety & Transport (police, fire and rescue services, emergency medical services, vessel traffic and railways). With headquarters in Vienna, the company employs more than 2300 people worldwide, with subsidiaries, regional offices and representatives in over 50 countries. In Cluj we started in 2009 and our local team currently has 200+ colleagues and is growing.

As part of our team you will work on a microservices based framework used across the company to run and integrate multiple Frequentis products. The product runs on RedHat 8, handles the deployment and configuration of the OS and supports the configuration and orchestration of services packaged as Docker images.

We are developing for a safety critical environment, following industry standards, where high availability and redundancy is a basic requirement.

This position is all about testing a complex product, from the Air Traffic Management, in an automated-functional-end-to-end manner.

Key Tasks

Take part of the daily work of the scrum team Plan and develop test plans/cases and test specifications based on product requirements Perform test procedures and methods found in agreed test plans Test customer specific "use case" scenarios Test new software products before release Ensure device interoperability across different product versions and the hardware Report data for engineering and customer review Create and maintain the test environments and test data Keep a high level of quality assurance during the entire software development and testing process (all requirements are tested and all test results are documented) Contribute also to the overall testing strategy (System and support Team)

Key Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of hands-on automated testing experience, using Java/JBehave Knowledge of a Test Management System Experience with using continuous integration End to end testing knowledge (both front and back-end testing) Able to translate technical content into comprehensible documents (English) Basic knowledge of operating systems (Linux) and networks Excellent English knowledge, both written and verbally A relevant certification (like ISTQB) would be a plus Security testing know-how would be a plus
