Role & seniority: System Validation Engineer, mid-to-senior level (5+ years commercial experience)

  • Define and implement functional and performance test cases from architecture specs

  • Develop and execute tests on simulation, emulation, and evaluation board platforms; debug and isolate system-level issues with design/verification teams

  • Create/maintain SystemC models of DPU components; support system bring-up and validation across project stages

Must-have skills

  • Minimum 5 years in a similar role; Bachelors or higher in CS, ECE, or related field

  • Strong C/C++ proficiency (bare-metal and Linux)

  • Solid computer architecture understanding; experience with complex hardware (DMA, networking, storage, crypto accelerators)

  • Practical knowledge of Git, GDB, Wireshark, Scapy

  • Fluent English (spoken/written); excellent debugging/analytical skills and attention to detail

  • Proven cross-functional collaboration; ability to push systems to edge-case bugs

  • Residing in Poland (required)

Nice-to-haves

Full Description

Join our Data Processing Unit (DPU) development team, working on state-of-the-art hardware for high-performance computing, storage, security, and networking acceleration. As a System Validation Engineer, you will design, develop, and execute system-level functional and performance tests across all project stages — from architecture definition, through pre-silicon simulation and emulation, up to post-silicon bring-up.

You will collaborate closely with architects, hardware, and verification engineers to ensure that every DPU feature operates as designed in real-world conditions.

By joining us, you become a member of the Embedded Competence Center at Sii is an internal organizational unit, bringing together more than 500 specialists nationwide! We are currently working on about 100 projects for 50 clients from various industries including automotive, IoT, telecommunications and medical.

Your tasks

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of commercial experience in a similar position Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or related field Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming for bare-metal and Linux environments Solid understanding of computer architecture and experience working with complex hardware systems (DMA, networking, storage, crypto accelerators) Practical knowledge of git, gdb, Wireshark, and Scapy Fluent English, written and spoken Excellent debugging and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional hardware/software teams Strong motivation to push systems to their limits and find edge-case bugs Residing in Poland required

Nice to have
