Create test strategies and plans based on requirements.

Prepare/configure test setups and execute E2E test procedures.

Must-have skills: General 5G network knowledge (e.g., carrier aggregation, handover, DSS/ENDC); understanding of software testing in the development process; basic IP networking; Linux experience; strong analytical thinking; good English (written and spoken).

Nice-to-haves: RF equipment experience (attenuators, signal analyzers); telco E2E testing with real UEs or simulators; building environments for 5G E2E testing; experience with Viavi TM500, QXDM, Wireshark; ISTQB or software testing concepts; scripting (Python/Perl); Agile experience.

Job Description
In Tieto we are a team with world class expertise and passion, transforming next generation networks and connected device platforms, helping customers in the development of 5G technology, focused on Radio Access Network part of the system. We are responsible for the development of mobile telecommunication technologies for world market radio telecom vendors.
Currently, we are looking for Test Engineers willing to learn, with support of our engineers, how 5G system works and what’s our way of working. After introduction newcomers, will join our testing pool and support feature teams in verification of a newly developed functionalities in the 5G technology (L1 and L2, baseband, radio).
As a member of the R&D, you will develop test operation plan for the project, conduct manual E2E testing and take care of the quality of the developed solution.

We Expect You To Have
General knowledge about architecture and features in 5G networks (e.g. carrier aggregation, handover, DSS, ENDC) Understanding of testing importance during SW development process Basic understanding of IP networks User experience with Linux OS Good analytical thinking Good English, both written and spoken
Nice To Have Qualifications
Practical knowledge about RF equipment (e.g., tunable attenuators, signal analyzer) Experience with telco E2E testing with usage of real UE’s or simulators Practical knowledge about building environments for 5G E2E testing Working experience with Viavi TM500, QXDM, Wireshark Knowledge and practice of software testing concepts (ISTQB certificate will be an advantage) Troubleshooting skills of the test environment issues Experience in scripting languages (e.g. Python, Perl) Agile way of working
