Agile Tester (m/f/d) – Naval Communication Systems Kiel, Germany

Contract: 18 months (extension possible up to 24 months) 35 hours per week Hybrid working – up to 60% remote
We are currently supporting a leading international technology company in the defence and secure communications sector in their search for an experienced Agile Tester to join a software development team working on advanced naval communication systems. This is an opportunity to work in a highly technical, structured engineering environment contributing to mission-critical software solutions used in EU and NATO contexts.
Your Responsibilities Work within an agile Scrum team developing software products in the field of naval communications Make software quality measurable and transparent within the development team Act as the test expert inside the agile team Design, create and maintain unit tests Develop and maintain automated test frameworks (Python / C++ environment) Execute manual tests when required to ensure release stability Support and secure release cycles in close collaboration with the central test team Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes
Your Profile Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology or comparable qualification Several years of professional experience in software testing (career starters not suitable) Strong knowledge of unit testing methodologies Good programming skills in Python and C++ Experience with version control systems (GitLab or GitHub preferred) Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as Scrum Independent, structured and solution-oriented working style Negotiation-level German and basic English required
