Salary: $27 - $35 / hour
Role & seniority: Avionics Technician, Production Flight Test Department; mid-level to senior with 4+ years of avionics experience.
Stack/tools: Garmin avionics experience preferred; harness fabrication/modification; electrical wiring; CAD drawings and electrical schematics; avionics hand tools; avionics software loading; general aircraft systems knowledge (hydraulics, flight controls, major components).
Fabricate, upgrade, and route wire harnesses per engineering drawings/specifications; perform avionics installations and setup.
Disassemble/assemble/adjust electronic equipment; troubleshoot and repair electrical and related aircraft systems.
Follow training/procedures for component removal/inspection/replacement; maintain clean/safe work area; support flight test and R&D tasks.
4+ years avionics experience; harness making/modification; proficiency with hand tools; ability to follow CAD drawings/electrical schematics.
Strong troubleshooting of basic mechanical/electrical issues; excellent computer skills.
Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship; can-do, teachable attitude; willingness to assist team on various tasks.
Garmin avionics experience; FAA Airframe & Powerplant certificate (preferred but not required).
Knowledge of Pratt & Whitney PT6A engines (preferred); other aircraft systems familiarity.

What You'll Do
Fabricate, upgrade, and route wire harnesses according to Engineering drawings and specifications Perform avionics installations and set up Disassemble, assemble, and adjust electronic equipment Perform system-specific software loading Properly use Avionics hand tools Troubleshoot and repair aircraft systems, such as electrical, hydraulics, flight controls, and major components Take immediate corrective action regarding unsafe conditions Ensure the work area is maintained in a clean and safe manner Remove, clean, inspect, and replace aircraft components following training and written procedures. Other duties as assigned
What You Bring To The Team
4+ years of Avionics Experience Experience with Garmin avionics systems is preferred but not required
Required: Experience with harness making and/or modification FAA Airframe & Powerplant certificate preferred, but not required Knowledge of other aircraft systems, such as hydraulics, flight control, and major components Experience with Pratt and Whitney PT6A engines preferred but not required Knowledge of Avionics tooling Proven ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical problems Proficient in using hand tools Excellent computer skills Ability to follow CAD drawings & electrical schematics A "can-do" teachable attitude with a willingness to help any person on the team with any task Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship now or in the future
