Role & seniority: Mobile Automation QA Engineer (experienced, mid-to-senior level)

Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for mobile apps; ensure reliable feature releases

We are Tribe, and we are partnering with a leading European PropTech powerhouse to expand their engineering hub in Belgrade. They are currently looking for an experienced Mobile Automation QA Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of the mobile experiences that power high-traffic consumer products used by millions of people every month. This is a unique opportunity to work on complex, large-scale systems in a "stealth mode" capacity. You will be a key guardian of the user journey, joining a collaborative team in Belgrade with a strong engineering culture and a focus on automation, precision, and software craftsmanship.
As a QA Automation Engineer, you will play a central role in defining and executing the
Mobile Automation Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test suites for iOS and Android applications to ensure seamless feature releases.
API & Traffic Validation: Use Postman and Charles Proxy to intercept and validate network traffic, ensuring the integrity of data flow between mobile frontends and backend services.
Test Management: Organize, document, and track testing efforts using XRAY and manage the full defect lifecycle within JIRA.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Backend and Mobile Engineers in an Agile environment to identify edge cases and ensure "Quality by Design" from the start of the development cycle.
Performance & Stability: Monitor app performance and stability, identifying bottlenecks and advocating for the best possible end-user experience.
Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the evolution of our CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests to reduce manual regression overhead.

Mobile Testing Expertise: Proven experience in QA automation specifically for mobile platforms (iOS and Android).
Tooling Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of JIRA and XRAY for test management and defect tracking.
Network & API Debugging: Strong hands-on experience with Postman for API testing and Charles Proxy for inspecting HTTP/HTTPS traffic.
Technical Skills: A solid understanding of mobile automation frameworks. Proficiency in JavaScript is considered a significant plus.
Scale: Previous experience working on high-traffic, B2C consumer-facing products is essential.
Analytical Mindset: Ability to break down complex requirements into clear, executable test cases and a passion for finding the "root cause" of elusive bugs.
Location: You must be based in (or willing to relocate to) Belgrade, Serbia, and comfortable working from the office 3 days a week.
