OBJECTIVE Quality Assurance Analyst Objective To be responsible for the quality, technical feasibility, and reliability of software and systems that are utilized by internal and external customers. To provide quality assurance expertise and direction on the functionality and usability of software and systems. To work closely with business analysts, software developers, and customers to understand business requirements. To design, develop, test, execute, and maintain test strategies, plans, and cases. To understand and execute automated testing scripts. To execute defect management, providing feedback, reporting defects, and projecting timelines for completion. RESPONSIBILITIES Quality Assurance Analyst Reponsibilities Participate in requirements gathering sessions, providing analysis and direction on testability from an assurance perspective, ensuring feasibility and quality releases. Review and comprehend requirements, specifications, and technical design documents. Provide estimates, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities. Communicate priority, plan, and risks to management, stakeholders, and project team members. Design, create, and execute test strategies, plans, and cases. Analyze software and system components, to identify discrepancies, defects, risks, and improvement areas. Comprehend and execute automated test scripts. QUALIFICATIONS Quality Assurance Analyst Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in business technology, computer science, software engineering, or business administration required, or equivalent experience may be considered. Strong information technology skills, understanding of software development lifecycle and quality assurance principals required. Ability to develop and execute manual and automated testing strategies, testing plans, and test cases required. Ability to communicate verbally and in written form in a clear and concise manner through various formats required. Willingness to participate in software quality assurance and insurance training classes required. Preferred Coursework in quality assurance preferred. Proven experience in application/software testing or software development required, two years preferred. Experience in insurance domain preferred. Certification in quality assurance or testing methodologies preferred.
