Job Summary To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Test Engineer SMT located in Guadalajara Norte. Reporting to the Director, Program Management, the Test Engineer’s role involves: What a typical day looks like: Directs and/or coordinates electronic engineering and/or technical personnel in fabrication and design of testing and test control apparatus and equipment, or software and systems testing. Directs and coordinates electronic engineering activities concerned with development, procurement, installation and calibration of instruments, equipment and control devices required to test, telemeter and record test data. Determines conditions under which tests are to be conducted and sequences and phases of test operations. Interfaces and confers with scientific, engineering and technical personnel to resolve testing problems such as product or system malfunctions, incomplete test data, data interpretation or coding issues. Develops and/or modifies test programs using various languages like Python Develops and/or supports diagnostic tests at the card edge level. Develops test plans and procedures. Coordinates 3rd party development of functional test development, enhancements, test fixtures. Performs failure analysis on environmental test failures. Experience in electronic industry (desirable). The experience we’re looking to add to our team: Advanced English Bachelor’s Degree Develops instrument drivers. Leadership for managing work teams and effective communication with other departments. Develops and/or supports diagnostic tests at the card edge level. Designs and supports functional test hardware, computer platforms and interfaces. Develops test plans and procedures. Coordinates 3rd party development of functional test development and enhancements. Designs, develops and/or supports environmental test programs, procedures and profiles Designs and/or supports mechanical/electrical interfaces for product tests. Performs failure analysis on environmental test failures. Coordinates 3rd party development of ESS (Environmental Stress Screening) activities.
