Mid-level or Senior Supplier Quality Engineer (APQP) Company: The Boeing Company The Boeing Company is seeking a Mid-level or Senior Supplier Quality Engineer (APQP) located in Los Angeles, CA. This position will lead development & application of AS9145 / Advanced Product Quality Planning in the Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) Supply base in the Southern California region. This position requires on-site support of multiple suppliers. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at supplier facilities. The candidate must reside in SoCal area and work from home when not traveling to supplier sites and/or Boeing facilities. While the position will focus primarily on suppliers based in SoCal, supplier support and travel to other regions of the U.S. may be necessary on occasion to support program needs and in order to balance team capacity. Position Responsibilities: Lead Preventive Quality projects in the supply base including Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and associated processes per the requirements of AS9145. Leads stakeholders in analysis of product & process data, develop and implement preventive actions to ensure delivery of products that meet customer requirements. Document work status and effectively communicate project status to management and key stakeholders. Advise management and intercompany cross functional teams of risk to program schedule and deliverables. Contribute to the development and continual improvement of associated processes and procedures. Works under minimal direction This position requires the ability to travel up to 40% to supplier sites and Boeing facilities. This position must meet export control compliance requirements.
