The AUSIEX Testing Team is responsible for ensuring system enhancements and fixes are stable, reliable and available for customers by using efficient and effective processes and tools that enable fast and cost-effective delivery of high-quality solutions to our internal and external customers.

The Test Team provides strategic execution of quality assurance activities, acting as an independent assessor of software quality on enhancements and business processes developed and delivered by internal and external software developers and project teams. The Test Team will provide recommendations to the AUSIEX Business owners on the suitability of the software for release into the AUSIEX Production environment.

This role has key internal relationships with all other Testing roles, Business SME’s, Developers, Delivery Portfolio Executives, Business Analysts, Software Engineering Managers, Technical Support Teams, Scrum and Project Members.

What Will You Be Doing

This role is based in Perth and will have accountability for

Creating and maintaining automated test scripts for functional, API and regression testing Executing tests, analysing results and logging bugs to ensure product quality Conduct root cause analysis, defect triage and troubleshooting followed by retesting of fixes Support manual test activities as required including system, integration, regression, end to end and user acceptance testing Working with manual QA teams to determine which test cases are best suited for automation Analyse complex requirements and translate them into robust automated test scenarios Establish and track quality metrics, test coverage and automation ROI Develop reporting dashboards to demonstrate the outcomes of automated testing Integrating tests into continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines Deliver satisfactory and sufficient test coverage for projects to mitigate the project risk Manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes Contribute to continuous uplift of technical capabilities to support more efficient test methodologies and accelerated project delivery

We’d love to hear from passionate people who have

Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience Understand foundational testing principles Strong background in test automation and frameworks (e.g. Cucumber BDD) Ability to design, scale and maintain automation frameworks Programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, JavaScript Hands on experience with testing tools e.g. Selenium, Postman, SOAP UI, Swagger Strong experience with Git and branching strategies and integration tools e.g. GitHub, TeamCity. Experience with test management and tracking tools (e.g. JIRA, ALM or similar) Strong experience working in Agile delivery teams (Scrum/Kanban), collaborating with developers, SDM’s, and BA’s Experience with SQL, cross-browser testing and device testing Experience using AI tools to generate tests, enhance coverage and improve efficiency Ability to manage priorities, estimate timeframes and deliver outcomes Strong attention to detail, customer focus and problem-solving ability
