About the Role Phi Partners is supporting one of the world’s largest, most influential sovereign wealth funds that has a diverse portfolio covering every asset class across every major geographical region globally. Our client is building a low-latency, event-driven trading platform on Azure. The programme focuses on delivering a high-performance, regulated architecture using Solace messaging, AKS and cloud-native services. This role will lead end-to-end quality, automation strategy and compliance assurance, ensuring the platform meets performance, resiliency and audit requirements for regulated markets.
Responsibilities Define and own test strategy across unit, integration, contract, E2E, performance, security and resiliency Establish quality governance including coverage targets, defect thresholds, performance SLOs and release gates Design and build reusable automation frameworks for API, messaging, database and contract testing Implement testing for event-driven architecture including producer/consumer validation, schema evolution, ordering, idempotency, replay and DLQ handling Automate data quality validation and reconciliation across OMS/EMS, risk and downstream systems Manage golden datasets and synthetic market data for repeatable regression testing Embed automated test suites into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines with mandatory quality and compliance gates Produce audit-ready evidence and traceability for regulated environments Support incident response, root cause analysis and production verification activities
Qualifications
Experience defining Test Strategy, shift-left testing, quality governance, release gates and audit traceability in regulated environments Hands-on experience building automation frameworks using C# and/or Python with xUnit, NUnit, MSTest or PyTest, integrated into CI/CD pipelines Experience testing Event-Driven Architectures, including contract validation, schema evolution, ordering, idempotency, replay, DLQ handling and back-pressure scenarios Experience testing APIs (REST/GraphQL/SOAP) and implementing contract testing Experience working with messaging platforms such as Solace Hands-on experience with Azure, AKS, Docker and Kubernetes for containerised test execution and environment orchestration Experience supporting financial/trading systems, including order lifecycle, market data and risk controls is highly preferred
