Top 3 responsibilities

Design, execute and maintain test cases, plans and suites; ensure thorough testing and certification per Elavon/scheme guidelines.

Prepare QA evaluation reports; liaise with Operations, POS Vendors and other teams to resolve issues; support go-live.

Ensure compliance with security policies, project documentation, and audit-ready records; assist with training and customer/colleague meetings as needed.
Must-have skills

2 years UAT/Testing/QA experience; 2 years payments industry experience.

ISTQB or similar qualification; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Proficient in QA processes, defect tracking, and communicating complex concepts in English; ability to work to fixed deadlines and be a team player.

Knowledge of card schemes, payment protocols and scheme-specific requirements.

Job Description Software Tester / Quality Analyst 12 month Fixed Term contract Arklow Office General overview: The POS UAT team operates within the wider Product Enablement Department. Operating in a key business environment, ensuring that Elavon POS solutions are certified to the highest standards, prior to deployment in a live environment. This position will be responsible for UAT, QA, Documentation, Training, Operations / Sales support on all certified POS solutions. Key Responsibilities: Ability to identify and deliver process improvements within the POS delivery process Working effectively with a number of internal departments including but not limited to Operations, POS Vendors groups to resolve open product issues in an efficient and effective manner Provide support in terms of research and problem solving to internal and external customers Designing of test cases, plans and suites, as required Execution of test cases, plans and suites, as required Remain informed of relevant card scheme requirements Preparation of QA evaluation reports and submission of the report to test schemes Ensure all solutions are fully tested, certified and documented, in accordance with Elavon and scheme guidelines Support solution during, certification and go-live stages Conduct face-to –face meetings or conference calls with customers or colleagues during all phases of the project Maintain correct and accurate records for audit purposes Ensure that the solution is compliant with mandated security use policies and other published security policies, standards and best practice Managing projects efficiently and within agreed timelines Technical requirements: 2 years UAT/Testing/QA experience or similar 2 years payments industry experience ISTQB Qualification or similar Knowledge of modern test methodologies Knowledge of payment protocols and scheme specific payment requirements extremely desirable General requirements: Strong technical and analytical skills – ability to understand the complete payment process flow and connecting system/application Proven problem solving skills Excellent English language skills, both verbal and written Knowledge and skills in the use of technologies for detecting and tracking defects Understanding and knowledge of quality assurance processes and methods used in software development Ability to communicate complex messages, system solutions or issues using appropriate language, both written and oral. Team Player; ability to work with users and management to analyze user requirements Ability to set and work to fixed deadlines. Flexible, self-reliant and self-organized.
