Salary: $130,000 - $160,000 / year
Role & seniority: Flight Control System Validation & Verification (V&V) Engineer; experienced/mid-senior (5–10 years in avionics/FCS V&V).
Stack/tools: MATLAB/Simulink; scripting and test automation; model-based verification; MIL/SIL/HIL environments; requirements management and traceability tools.
Plan, develop, and execute system-level V&V strategies for the Flight Control System across the full lifecycle; own verification plans, procedures, and matrices.
Perform requirements-based and function-based verification (allocation, traceability, coverage, closure); verify mode logic, redundancy, fault handling; conduct robustness and abnormal/emergency testing.
Conduct/coordinate MIL/SIL/HIL verification, interface verification with avionics, sensors, actuators, propulsion; support safety assessments and deliver verification artifacts for certification.
5–10 years in flight control/avionics V&V; strong system-level V&V for safety-critical systems
FCS architectures, redundancy, and integration principles
Model-based verification and simulation-driven test environments
Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink, scripting, test automation
Requirements management and traceability expertise; strong technical writing/communication

What is JetZero? Today’s aircraft contribute around 4% of global CO2 emissions, equivalent to the emissions of 200 million cars. This is only going to increase: Air travel is forecasted to double by 2050, while meaningful efficiency gains using current airplanes have hit a wall. Depending on the team and role you are interviewing for, you may meet with several teammates as well as cross-functional partners.
The Executive Review: A chance to meet an executive and view JetZero from a different lens. Be prepared to ask well-thought-out questions about the company, culture, and more. Depeneding on the position you are interviewing for, there may also be a Take Home Exercise as part of the interview proccess. Our assessments seek to test the hard skills required to do the job.
