Salary: C$41 - C$56 / hour
Role & seniority: Registered Nurse – Hemodialysis (HD) specialized, with post-graduate nephrology nursing or equivalent recent HD experience.
Stack/tools: Current RN or RN/PN registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives; nephrology nursing knowledge; operate dialysis-related equipment; document in manual/computerized health records; CPR proficient; lead group teaching; coordinate with interdisciplinary team.
Assess holistic patient needs and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
Provide direct nursing care, monitor progress, modify plans, and respond to crises; lead patient/family education and group sessions.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team; supervise/guide care staff; participate in orientation, quality improvement, discharge planning, and resource referrals.
Effective verbal/written communication; strong clinical judgment; CPR appropriate to service area.
Team-based care, conflict resolution, prioritization/organization, and ability to teach patient learning needs.
Ability to operate dialysis equipment, manage crises, and lead care plans; documentation skills.
Post-graduate nephrology nursing; recent hemodialysis experience; experience in teaching groups; involvement in research or quality improvement activities.
