Job Description Summary Engineering associated with the manufacturing process. Impacts departmental operations and responsible for planning/execution. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Own the problem-solving processes for the area of responsibility, lead continuous improvement projects to improve the process in the area, and serve as a Lead Process Engineer for AEO Production Assembly to enable safe, high-quality, and on-time delivery for LM2500, LM6000, CF6, and LMS100 programs. Work closely with the area supervisors and workforce to reduce the amount of time it takes to complete the various sub-assemblies on time when customers need them. Most notably, carry out daily Root-Cause, Corrective-Action (RCCA) and deliver changes that equate to impactful results in accordance with GE Aerospace’s Lean framework, FLIGHT DECK. Demonstrates the ability to work tactically on the shop floor daily, evaluating and dispositioning suspected non-conformances, and coordinating with various cross-functional teams to conduct root cause corrective action (RCCA). Prepared to carry out and assume responsibilities on various strategic objectives when delegated by the Process Engineering Team Leader.
