What You Will Do Serve as a primary support expert for our analog and mixed-signal design engineers, providing guidance on industry-standard EDA tools from Cadence, Synopsys, Siemens, and Ansys. Go beyond support by designing and developing new custom tools and automated flows that solve complex design challenges and measurably improve our design and verification processes. Collaborate with our global design centers to standardize and centralize the design environment, creating reusable IP and robust information-sharing mechanisms that embody the "One Allegro" spirit. Maintain and support the quality control (QC) flows for our tools and methodologies, and play a key role in our IP Management and Quality Management Systems (QMS). Develop clear, comprehensive documentation and training materials for new tools and design flows, enabling faster adoption and greater efficiency across the engineering teams. What You Will Need A BSEE or MSEE degree (or equivalent experience) and a minimum of 2 years in a role focused on Analog/Mixed-Signal IC design tools, methodologies, or support. A fundamental understanding of analog and mixed-signal circuit design principles. You need to understand the challenges of the engineers you support. Strong scripting and automation skills are essential (e.g., Python, Perl, SKILL, Tcl). Hands-on experience with industry-standard EDA tools for IC design and verification (Cadence, Synopsys, Siemens). Familiarity with the custom IC design flow (schematic, simulation, layout, GDS). Experience with version control systems (Git, Perforce, SOS). Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a collaborative mindset. You must be able to work effectively in a global team environment and translate complex technical concepts for a broad audience.
