Role & seniority: Test Engineer (mid to senior level) focused on pre-launch testing, test project leadership, and quality systems support.

Stack/tools: Electrical test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, LCR meters, TDR, VNA, environmental chambers, mechanical test gear); test fixtures/design; Windows/MS Office; experience with ISO17025, SOPs, and lab procedures.

Top 3 responsibilities

  • Prepare resources (equipment, fixtures, PCB, procedures) for launch testing; review test plans and manage tests to meet deadlines; summarize/test data.

  • Lead failure analysis with PDE to close 8D; ensure methods align with global procedures and guiding documents.

  • Train test engineers/technicians; communicate with external labs; initiate/develop new capabilities; support lab quality system.

Must-have skills

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering; experience in electrical testing/design and device/system setup.

  • Knowledge of electrical performance testing (contact/insulation resistance, withstand voltage, current carrying, life tests, signal integrity).

  • Proficient with test instruments (DMM, oscilloscope, LCR, TDR, VNA), test fixture/process design, collaboration with mechanical/hardware teams.

  • Strong planning, execution, reliability test knowledge, and good communication.

Nice-to-haves

  • Automotive industry/product reliability experience; familiarity with USCAR-2, VW, LV214.

  • Presentation skills; strong English; failure analysis capability; complex proble

Full Description

What You Will Do

Responsible for completing all related resources (Equipment, Fixture, PCB, Procedure) in preparation before launch testing. Review test plan with local/global team and manage test projects according to lab workflow, ensure project testing completion on time. Lead test failure analysis and support PDE to close 8D report. Ensure test methods correctly, align with global labs testing procedure, and ensure all execution processes are based on relevant guiding documents (SOP). Some degrees risk and resource assessment capabilities, along with a strong quality awareness. Review and summery test data/results. Communicate with commercial lab for outsource testing. Initiate and lead the development of new capabilities. Train test engineer/technicians on testing procedures. Support the ISO17025 lab quality management system. Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

Degree in Engineering (Electrical) from a recognized university or technical institute. Experience working in electrical testing/design. Experiences on electrical test device and system setup. Has knowledge of electrical performance testing such as contact resistance, insulation resistance, withstand voltage, current carrying capability, insertion/extraction life, and signal integrity. Proficient with test instruments including multimeters, oscilloscopes, LCR meters, TDR, VNA, environmental chambers, and mechanical test equipment. Experience in designing test fixtures and test processes; able to collaborate with mechanical and hardware teams. Good communication skills. Good reliability test knowledge. Good computer skills and knowledge of Windows/MS Office applications. Good at planning and execution.

What Will Put You Ahead

Electrical bachelor’s degree Experience working in automotive industry/product reliability. Familiar with USCAR-2, VW, LV214 test standards. Presentation skills. Good English skills in speaking, reading & writing. Knowledge of failure analysis. Complex problem analysis and solving skill.
