About The Role

We are looking for a Test Automation Engineer to join and champion the quality and reliability of our software products. In this role, you will not just be writing scripts; you will own our test automation strategy, building and extending frameworks from the ground up to ensure seamless UI and API performance. Working closely with developers, product owners, and DevOps within an Agile/Scrum environment, you will be instrumental in integrating automated testing into our deployment pipelines, ensuring that every release meets the highest standards of excellence.

What You Will Do

Framework Ownership: Take full ownership of test automation from initial framework design through execution, reporting, and ongoing maintenance.

UI & API Automation: Develop and execute robust automated tests for modern web applications using cutting-edge frameworks for both front-end interfaces and RESTful APIs.

Pipeline Integration: Seamlessly integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI) to enable continuous testing and delivery.

Defect Management: Utilize test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail) to document, track, and resolve issues efficiently.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with development and product teams to understand requirements, define test strategies, and promote a culture of quality.

What You Bring

Extensive Experience: 5–8+ years in software testing, with a dedicated focus of 4+ years on test automation for web applications (UI and API).

Programming Proficiency: Strong coding skills in at least one modern language commonly used for automation, such as Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, or Python.

Modern Frameworks: Hands-on experience with web automation tools like Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, or Cypress, as well as API testing tools (e.g., REST-assured, Postman/Newman, SuperTest).

Architecture & Design: Proven experience building or extending automation frameworks using page-object models, modular design, or data/keyword-driven approaches.

Web Fundamentals: A solid understanding of core web technologies, including HTTP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, cookies/sessions, and browser developer tools.

Agile Mindset: Demonstrated success working in Agile/Scrum environments with continuous collaboration across technical and product teams.

Nice If You Have

Performance Testing: Exposure to performance and load testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling, or k6.

Cloud & Containerization: Familiarity with deploying or testing within containerized and cloud environments (Docker, Kubernetes, or major cloud providers).
