Salary: $35 - $40 / hour
Role & seniority: Internship for a 3rd-year university student (pursuing B.S. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering); summer internship with potential ongoing alignment.
Stack/tools: ASIC/VLSI development (RTL/Physical Design, verification); Verilog; scripting (Python, Perl, TCL or equivalent); C/C++; hardware design; software scripting; documentation.
Assist RTL/Physical Design work and verification activities (pre-silicon and post-silicon).
Contribute to script/tool development and automation.
Support schedule breakdowns, documentation, and other duties as assigned based on skills and business needs.
Currently enrolled in a 4-year program (computer engineering, computer science, or electrical engineering); at least 3rd year completed (May 2027 graduate).
Experience with scripting languages (Python, Perl, TCL or equivalent).
Experience with hardware design and Verilog; experience with C/C++.
Strong communication, problem-solving, time management, and collaboration skills; ability to work under deadlines.
Strong interest in high-tech, fast-learning attitude, and a solution-focused mindset.
Prior exposure to ASIC/VLSI development or related hardware/software projects.
Location & work type: Hybrid role; average 2 days per week in an HPE office; United States; internship during summer/flexible study breaks.

Job Description
The intern will be working with the HPE Aruba ASIC development team on next generation products. You will have a summer project that will
be used for/in the development activities of current or future ASIC's. This ASIC team develops state of the art, world class Networking Chips
for the marketplace and our customers. We are looking for individuals that have the desire and ability to contribute at this level. The intern
will be working with and learning from the senior members of the ASIC / VLSI team. Responsibilities may include RTL/Physical Design, Pre-
Silicon verification; Post-Silicon verification; Formal Verification; Script &/or Tool development; schedule breakdowns, document generation,
and several other possible duties. Several assignments are possible, so final alignment will be based on student skills and business needs.
Education & Experience
Must be currently enrolled in a 4-year University/College pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent. At least 3rd Year of engineering courses completed (May 2027 graduate).
