Luna Data Solutions is seeking a Cybersecurity Penetration Testing & SIEM Integration Engineer for a long-term onsite contract in Austin, TX (78751). This role supports the Chief Information Security Office (CISO) and contributes to Zero Trust, continuous monitoring, and security modernization initiatives.
Design and develop secure software components, APIs, and microservices supporting penetration testing and automation. Build integrations between penetration testing platforms, vulnerability scanners, and SIEM systems. Develop data pipelines for Splunk and other SIEM platforms. Automate security testing, evidence collection, and reporting. Support penetration testing environments and Kali Linux infrastructure. Create exploit scripts and automation supporting red team operations. Develop connectors, log parsing, enrichment, and normalization for SIEM. Collaborate with CSOC for monitoring and detection requirements. Create scripts using Python, Bash, or PowerShell. Implement CI/CD pipelines for security tools. Ensure alignment with internal SOP requirements.
Qualifications 8+ years cybersecurity experience, including automation and platform integrations. 8+ years penetration testing/Kali Linux experience. 8+ years scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell). 3+ years software development (Python, Java, JavaScript, or C#). 3+ years building REST APIs and enterprise integrations.
