Role & seniority: QA Automation Engineer / SDET (mid-level to senior), embedded with LiveSite engineering team in India; works across offshore and US-based engineers.
Stack/tools: Java (preferred) or similar language; Selenium and/or Playwright; API automation (RestAssured, Postman, or similar); Git and CI/CD; Spring Boot microservices; experience with distributed systems.
Design, build, and maintain automation frameworks; develop API automation for microservices; integrate automated tests into CI/CD.
Collaborate with backend/frontend engineers to identify risk, improve test coverage, and strengthen regression, including production issue reproduction/analysis.
Participate in backlog refinement and release planning; coordinate with US engineers during overlap hours for triage and release coordination; drive automation reliability and maintainability improvements.
3+ years as QA Automation Engineer / SDET; strong programming skills (Java preferred)
Hands-on experience with Selenium and/or Playwright; API automation experience
Experience with Git, CI/CD, and Agile/Kanban; ability to troubleshoot across distributed systems
Strong collaboration/communication across geographies; Bachelor’s degree in CS or equivalent
Microservices experience; messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure); performance or reliability testing
Experience modernizing/advancing
Design, build, and maintain automation frameworks using Selenium and/or Playwright
Develop API automation for Spring Boot microservices
Collaborate directly with engineers to identify risk areas and improve test coverage
Reproduce and analyze production issues to strengthen regression and prevent recurrence
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines

3+ years of experience as a QA Automation Engineer / SDET

Strong understanding of automation design principles and testing best practices
Experience working in Agile/Kanban environments

Experience working within microservices-based architectures
Familiarity with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar)
