Job Description
Aviation & Missile Solutions (AMS) is currently seeking a Mid-Level Test Engineer to join our Huntsville, AL. team!
The selected candidate will provide Test Engineering support for an Army Project Office at Redstone Arsenal. This role functions within the Project Office's Test Directorate in direct support of the Government Test Team and will work with government civilians, military personnel, and contractors. The Test Engineer will play a critical role in test execution and test documentation, to include developing test plans, designing test procedures, executing tests, and maintaining thorough documentation in accordance with applicable government standards. Candidate must be professional, self-motivated, and possess good communication and team working skills to participate in multiple test support activities with team member Subject Matter Experts.
Principal Duties And Responsibilities
Plan and execute tests for a complex and advanced Air and Missile Defense system for the US Army Participate in Test activities including SIL, HWIL, Distributed Ground Testing, System Qualification Testing, and Field Testing with a team consisting of personnel from multiple projects, agencies, and labs Generate pre-test documentation to include test plans, test requirements, test procedures, and test case matrices, as well as post-test support to include providing EXSUMs for major test activities, resolution of test incident reports, and generation of post-test reports Organize and participate in weekly Test Planning meetings; prepare test presentations Support major meetings with Program Stakeholders such as T&E WIPTs Travel to DOD Test Ranges to support various test operations and missions
Support status reporting efforts: team weekly activities reports, weekly SITREPs to management, test calendar updates, asset status
