Job Description
More companies are moving from selling products to selling usage subscriptions, consumption, pay-as-you-go. The problem? Their systems weren't designed for that. They lose revenue, move slowly, and can't keep up with what customers actually want.
We fix that.
DigitalRoute gives enterprises a real-time usage data layer. We take raw usage data and turn it into billing-ready information at scale, without lag. Our newest platform, Usage Engine Cloud Edition, is a multi-tenant SaaS product already processing billions of events per month. Household names are signing on.
We're also building what we call Usage Intelligence: anomaly detection, usage forecasting, churn prediction. Machine learning sits at the center of where we're headed.
What You'll Do
You'll design and maintain automation frameworks for frontend and backend testing Playwright is the main tool. You'll write test scripts that cover functional, regression, integration, and performance scenarios, and build test suites that can handle big data pipelines, event-driven systems, and LLM-based features.
You'll work closely with DevOps to plug automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar), and make sure everything runs cleanly in containerized and Kubernetes environments. You'll test cloud-native microservices on AWS, using Docker and Datadog for monitoring.
Beyond execution, you'll be involved early sprint planning, backlog grooming, design discussions. You'll push for shift-left testing and help the team catch problems before they become expensive. And you'll experiment with AI-assisted testing approaches when they make sense.
