The Role
We are looking for a seasoned and proactive Senior QA Engineer to join our QA team in Málaga. This role is pivotal in shaping our test automation direction across multiple teams and domains: services/APIs, UI, test infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines.
You care deeply about business outcomes and quality constraints. You turn ambiguity into clarity, define measurable quality guardrails, and help teams deliver reliably through scalable, maintainable, and observable test systems.
Responsibilities
End-to-end test automation: Design, build, and evolve automation across services/APIs, UI frameworks, and platform/test infrastructure.
Cross-team quality impact: Lead multi-team quality initiatives and align teams on shared quality gates, integration cadence, and ownership.
Quality guardrails and metrics: Define and operationalise test SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, dashboards, and regression alerts; maintain a pragmatic test risk register.
Test delivery at scale: Plan and execute staged rollouts (feature flags/canaries) for complex changes in test systems and test infrastructure.
Reliability and security: Improve test system stability and performance; promote least-privilege access, secret hygiene, and secure-by-default test patterns.
Mentorship and leadership: Coach and sponsor QA engineers, raise writing standards for test RFCs/ADRs, and establish durable test templates and paved roads.
Collaboration: Partner closely with Engineering, Product, DevOps/SRE, Security, and Data to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Must-have
Experience: 6+ years in QA engineering and test automation, with ownership of business-critical test systems.
Automation engineering: Strong hands-on coding skills in at least one language commonly used for automation (for example, Java, TypeScript, or Python).
Test strategy: Proven ability to design test approaches for complex systems across services/APIs and UI, including clear entry/exit criteria and "stop testing" guidelines.
CI/CD and test operations: Experience building and maintaining CI test pipelines, improving signal-to-noise (flake reduction), and accelerating feedback loops.
Quality metrics and observability: Comfortable defining success metrics, building dashboards, and using data to drive decisions and trade-offs.
Communication: Excellent written and spoken English; able to align stakeholders and lead structured cross-team discussions.
Nice-to-have
iGaming experience: Familiarity with iGaming platforms, integrations, and regulatory constraints.
Cloud and containers: Experience with AWS (or similar), Docker, Kubernetes, and distributed systems.
