Role & seniority: Engineering Technician (hands-on, contract); 3–6 months
Stack/tools: mechanical assembly; test fixture/jig build-out (mechanical, pneumatic, electro-mechanical); sensors and data acquisition; data logging; basic 3D printing; electrical/wiring basics (soldering/crimping); lab organization (5S); documentation tools
Set up, instrument, and execute functional, reliability, and environmental tests per test plans; capture repeatable data with traceability
Build/iterate test fixtures, jigs, and data acquisition components; assemble/debug prototypes; support pilot builds on the manufacturing line
Author test reports, present findings to engineers/stakeholders; maintain logs, issue trackers, and test documentation; perform root cause investigations
Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Technology, or related field; 3–5 years in manufacturing, test lab, or NPD
Strong mechanical skills: precision assembly, fasteners, pneumatics, tubing/fittings; basic 3D printing
Experience with gauges/sensors (pressure, flow, temp, weight/force, displacement); data logging and basic data analysis
Basic electrical/wiring (12–48 VDC), soldering/crimping; ability to follow/test plans and document results clearly
Detail-oriented, safety-conscious; good written/spoken communication; teamwork
Goodwill TalentBridge is partnering with an innovative manufacturing organization to hire a hands‑on Engineering Technician for a 3–6 month contract supporting New Product Development, testing, and prototyping. This role focuses on mechanical assembly, test fixture build‑out, functional and reliability testing, data collection, and pilot build support in a manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Do In this role, you will support engineering teams by building test setups, executing test plans, analyzing results, and providing hands-on support for prototypes and pilot builds.
