Location & work type: Israel-based role; on-site field testing (full-time)
Regulus is an agile defense-tech startup tackling the most complex challenges in counter-drone and uncrewed defense. With hundreds of combat-proven systems deployed by the IDF and global partners, we are now engineering the next generation of C-UxS (Counter-Uncrewed Systems). We leverage advanced electronic warfare and kinetic measures to detect and neutralize hostile threats. If you want to push technological boundaries while safeguarding Israel and our allies, join us at this pivotal stage of our growth. This is a unique opportunity to join a company at a pivotal growth stage and help shape its products, culture, and future. As a Field Test Engineer for our kinetic systems, you will own the full test lifecycle planning, execution, and analysis of autonomous drone performance across diverse scenarios. You will independently design and conduct data collection flights, capture synchronized video, telemetry, and ground-truth data, and deliver structured, high-quality datasets for AI training and performance validation. You are solely responsible for ensuring data integrity and verifying autonomous target tracking and terminal intercept reliability.
Key Responsibilities Design and execute complex flight profiles to capture multi-modal data. You are responsible for the data acquisition of video streams and high-frequency flight telemetry logs for later examination Prepare TRR before each field-test and a post-mortem report afterwards Build and maintain a suitable storage environment for test logging. You will engineer the schema for metadata and annotations (GPS, IMU, object labels), ensuring data is available for investigation the moment it leaves the field Analyze real-time telemetry and post-flight data to identify sensor problems, control issues, or system failures
Requirements Proven experience in designing development verification experiments, conducting statistical analysis, and creating insightful data visualizations to communicate system performance (graphs). Hands-on data analysis skills using Python (preferred), or other suitable script language, to parse, clean, and manipulate experiment datasets. Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software in the field under varying environmental conditions (hands-on and resourceful). Practical experience in computer vision, embedded systems, sensor data (IMU, GPS), and real-time telemetry - Advantage
