As a software test engineer you are working with the other engineers on your agile team and the other agile teams in the same sub-domain. You work together with the System Engineers and Software Engineers on what to test and how. And on the implementation and automation of those tests. Our teams are multidisciplinary and self-organizing Scrum teams. In addition to software development, our teams are fully responsible for various aspects, such as requirements analysis, architecture, design, testing, validation and product demonstrations. The use of high-tech techniques and software development methods is important. The software of our systems is based both on Java and C++ and is supported by a modern development environment. FüWES (Führungs- und WaffenEinsatzSystem) is the command system consisting of TACTICOS with an integrated, newly developed Fire Control solution. The development and integration of all subsystems onboard the ship, is what FüWES is all about. It accounts for the complete development cycle of products and solutions: from concept definition to system design, continuing to system integration and validation, up until the inclusion of delivery onboard the customer vessels.
