Key Responsibilities

• Hands‑On Automation Development & Framework Ownership
• Architect, design, and implement scalable, maintainable automation frameworks for functional, regression, integration, performance, and API testing.
• Write high‑quality, maintainable automated tests using modern frameworks (e.g., Robot Framework) and programming languages.
• Build reusable automation libraries, utilities, and shared components that can be leveraged across BOT teams.
• Maintain and refactor automation code to improve reliability, stability, and execution performance.
• Ensure alignment and integration with enterprise automation platforms such as QE Test Hub for standardized execution and reporting.
• Continuous Testing & DevSecOps Integration
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and own the end‑to‑end automation execution process.
• Collaborate with DevOps engineers to ensure robust test orchestration in Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar ecosystems.
• Implement automated quality gates, test reporting dashboards, and pass/fail criteria to support release governance.
• Build and manage test data automation strategies, environment dependencies, and pipeline‑aware test configurations.
• Quality Engineering Leadership & Governance
• Establish and enforce Corporate testing standards, test documentation practices, and automation conventions.
• Drive root‑cause analysis for defects and failures across automation, pipelines, and application layers; lead corrective and preventive action implementation.
• Mentor developers, QA analysts, and junior automation engineers on automation techniques, framework usage, and quality‑by‑design principles.
• Advocate for shift‑left practices and influence teams to incorporate testing early in design and requirement refinement.
• Cross‑Functional Collaboration
• Partner with product managers, architects, and engineering teams to prioritize automation coverage aligned to release and architectural goals.
• Collaborate with shared services, vendor teams, and Digital SDLC governance partners to ensure compliance with enterprise testing and automation maturity expectations.
• Support teams in progressing through Digital SDLC automation maturity stages by providing hands‑on technical coaching and assessments.
• Required Qualifications
• Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Technical Skills & Experience
• 6+ years of Quality Engineering experience with extensive hands‑on automation development expertise.
• Strong experience writing automation code using frameworks such as Robot Framework, Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, REST Assured, or similar.
• Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, or Java.
• Proven experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD workflows (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.).
• Strong understanding of API testing, data‑driven testing, distributed system validation, and mocking/stubbing strategies.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps principles including secure coding, dependency scanning, and automated validation of security controls.
• Ability to diagnose failures across pipelines, test environments, external integrations, and application layers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in complex enterprise environments with multiple product teams.
• Knowledge of cloud‑native architectures, microservices, and containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Prior experience leading or mentoring QA/automation engineers.
• Familiarity with Digital SDLC maturity models, enterprise governance, and automated gating strategies.
• Experience collaborating with onshore/offshore teams in a distributed delivery model.
