Role & seniority: Senior Backend QA Engineer (5+ years in backend QA)
Stack/tools: Java, Linux; backend services/API testing; databases; distributed services; automation testing (design, scripting, execution); code review and Java unit testing
Collaborate with Developers and Product Managers to design, test, and deliver high-quality products
Create detailed automation test plans and comprehensive test cases; perform root-cause analysis of defects
Hands-on automation with some manual investigation; exploratory/testing of unreleased features to define requirements and behavior
5+ years in backend QA testing; full-cycle automation testing
Experience testing APIs, databases, and distributed services
Proficiency in Java and Linux; ability to write and review code; strong test analysis and method design

Responsibilities Work closely with team members (Developers, Product Managers) to develop, test and deliver high quality products. Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured Automation test plans and test cases. Prevent, analyse and track product defects, performing root cause analysis. Hands-on Automation & slight Manual investigation and reproduction of functional Backend software issues. Investigatory testing of unreleased features including defining requirements, behavior and impact.
Requirements About 5 years+ of Backend QA testing. Have basic technical knowledge related to computers. Full cycle Automation testing from designing tests, developing scripts and execution Experience testing Backend services such as APIs, Databases, distributed services (non-monolithic). Knowledge in Java and Linux - Able to write code & review code. Good test analysis and test method design ability to solve complex quality problems. Experience in Java unit testing.
