Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Functional Test Engineer to join a leading global automotive technology company. This facility specializes in manufacturing advanced components for electric vehicles (EVs), including electric powertrain systems, autonomous driving, and technologies. The role focuses on developing and optimizing test stations and procedures for mass production.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute functional test plans, test cases, and test procedures for automotive electronic systems. Validate functional requirements against design specifications and customer requirements. Identify, document, and track defects while collaborating with design and software teams to resolve issues. Analyze test results and prepare clear test reports, implementing continuous optimization measures for existing production test processes. Ensure test equipment uptime and compliance with calibration and maintenance schedules. Implement Engineering Changes and New Product Introductions to the production floor.
Essential Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/Electrical, Computer Engineering or a related field. Overall understanding of the entire test process and the tradeoffs of various test methods. Experience of 2+ years in electronic testing within a high-volume electronics manufacturing environment. Demonstrates participative management in problem-solving.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in electronic circuit design and circuit debugging. Prior engineering experience in automotive or manufacturing environment. Strong computer skills and the ability to manage projects in a team environment. Strong initiative to complete project tasks on time and within budget. Excellent communication skills for effective cross-functional team collaboration. Working knowledge of programming languages.

The role is based on-site in Harrodsburg, within a climate-controlled, clean room environment. The team comprises 8 functional engineers and 6 technicians, offering a collaborative atmosphere focused on shaping the future of mobility through advanced automotive technologies.

Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $58.00/hr.
