Role & seniority: QA Analyst (junior to mid-level) in an engineering team; reporting to QA Lead.
Location & work type: Wigan, UK; full-time, on-site, agile SCRUM environment.

Execute comprehensive test plans, scenarios, and detailed test scripts aligned to schedules and roadmaps; ensure coverage and compliance.
Document, log, track, and report defects with reproduction steps, expected vs actual results, and evidence; communicate updates to stakeholders.
Collaborate across QA, engineering, product, operations, and third parties; contribute to QA requirements, peer reviews, and automation opportunities; support continuous improvement and automation-first initiatives.
Proven manual testing experience in an Agile environment.
API testing experience (Postman) and ability to write SQL queries.
Ability to interpret requirements, perform analysis, and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
ISEB Foundation in Software Testing (desirable).
Experience with automation tools (SpecFlow, Cypress) and automation roadmap involvement.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated QA Analyst to join our Engineering team in Wigan. This is an exciting opportunity to work across a diverse range of Tote products spanning B2C, B2B, and B2B2C channels. Working as part of an agile squad following SCRUM methodology, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and compliance of our software solutions before they go live.
You’ll collaborate closely with QA colleagues, engineers, operations teams, product managers, and third-party suppliers, contributing to projects that are prioritised in line with business needs. Reporting to the QA Lead, you will ensure testing is well defined, planned, and executed to the highest standard.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you will execute comprehensive test plans and scenarios aligned with development schedules and product roadmaps. You will create and maintain detailed test scripts, ensuring agreed coverage is achieved and compliance requirements are consistently met. As part of your responsibilities, you will document defects clearly and thoroughly, including detailed steps to reproduce issues, expected and actual results, and supporting evidence such as screenshots or videos.
You will accurately log, track, and report on defect fixes, providing regular updates to stakeholders and ensuring all reporting follows agreed templates for audit purposes. Working collaboratively with operational, product, and engineering teams, you will help define QA testing requirements and contribute to continuous improvement across products and processes.
You will also participate in peer reviews of test scripts, attend three amigos sessions to identify automation opportunities, and work with Senior and Lead QA colleagues to drive an automation-first approach across all business channels. Your input will help shape the quality strategy and improve overall product delivery.
Who We Are Looking For
We’re seeking someone with proven experience in manual testing within an agile environment, who is comfortable working at pace and adapting to changing business priorities. You should have experience testing APIs using Postman and a strong understanding of writing SQL queries. The ability to interpret business and functional requirements and perform effective requirements analysis is essential.
Strong communication skills are key, as you’ll be working with a broad range of stakeholders across the business. You should be proactive, detail-oriented, and confident in prioritising tasks within a flexible and agile setting.
An ISEB Foundation in Software Testing qualification would be desirable. Experience in test automation, particularly with tools such as SpecFlow or Cypress, would also be advantageous but is not essential.
