We are looking for an experienced Senior Test Automation Engineer (m/f/d) who can elevate our development and quality assurance processes to the next level. In this role, you will be responsible for building, enhancing, and optimizing our automated testing landscape, while working closely with development teams to ensure high software quality.

Project Description

The customer KöR GbR would like to replace most of its on-board computers and add several new functions to the ITCS.

The current on-board computers are up to 17 years old and need to be replaced.

Project scope

Replacement of hardware and software Functional expansion, e.g., in customer information

Responsibilities

Analyze requirements and develop effective test strategies to ensure software quality and optimize testing processes Plan and execute automated tests, API tests, and system integration tests Integrate test strategies into DevOps processes to ensure seamless automation within agile development projects Perform and document application tests, as well as optional load tests, performance tests, and UAT tests Readiness to assist with manual testing as well Work closely with cross‑functional teams to optimize testing processes and ensure customer satisfaction Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and DevOps teams

Qualifications

Qualifications

At least 5 years of experience in relevant skill areas Strong methodological knowledge of agile software development, especially in Scrum and DevOps Solid experience in test automation, with additional knowledge of manual testing, API testing, and system integration testing Experience with Java Strong skills in application testing, ideally with experience in load testing, performance testing, and end‑user testing, regression testing and test case design Experience in test management with a focus on integrating automated testing approaches within DevOps environments Experience with tools such as Jira, XRAY, Selenium, Postman Good programming and scripting skills, particularly in JSON and Python Experience with Jenkins Experience with version control systems such as Git. Strong team player with a structured and self‑driven working style Excellent communication skills for coordinating with stakeholders and reporting test results Excellent German skills, both written and spoken (B2–C1), English is a plus Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
