𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞: 5-8 years of experience in Appium and API automation using PyTest

Bangalore location (Hybrid)

We are looking for an experienced Automation Tester with strong expertise in API and mobile automation testing. The role requires a deep understanding of Appium and API automation using PyTest to drive efficient and scalable automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Handle test automation at the framework level, ensuring seamless integration with new requirements. Work on automation for both web and mobile applications, with a current focus on mobile and API automation. Implement and execute API automation using PyTest (preferred for API testing). Automate mobile application testing using Appium with any compatible tool or framework. Understand, analyze, and enhance existing test frameworks, ensuring efficient automation coverage. Troubleshoot and resolve framework-related challenges while optimizing automation strategies. Contribute to designing test frameworks if required and ensure their maintainability. Effectively analyze automation test results, debug issues, and provide detailed reporting. Ensure complete understanding of the automation framework and its functionality rather than just adding test cases. Collaborate with development teams to understand application changes and implement automation strategies accordingly. Work independently with minimal guidance, taking ownership of automation deliverables. Address common challenges in UI and API automation and provide innovative solutions. Work closely with stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of automation processes. Maintain and update test scripts based on changes in banking and payment functionalities, aligning with HDFC’s requirements. Adapt quickly to new requirements, ensuring seamless integration into the existing automation framework. Provide insights and recommendations for test strategy, execution, and improvements

Skills & Qualifications

5-8 years of experience in automation testing, with expertise in web and mobile applications. Strong knowledge of API automation testing using PyTest. Proficiency in mobile automation using Appium, with experience in integrating it into frameworks. Hands-on experience with automation framework handling and enhancement. Strong analytical and debugging skills, with the ability to explain automation frameworks and workflows clearly. Understanding of payment domain and banking-related automation testing is a plus. Experience in designing test automation frameworks is highly preferred. Ability to work independently and handle challenges with minimal guidance. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Exposure to automation challenges in UI and API testing and the ability to provide solutions.
