Role Description
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Lead II - Software Test Engineer with 10-12 years of hands on experience in automation testing, API testing, and quality engineering. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Selenium WebDriver with C, RESTSharp / RestAssured, BDD (Cucumber), test planning, and NFR (Non Functional Requirements) testing. This role requires strong leadership and the ability to mentor teams while contributing technically.
Key Responsibilities
Test Strategy & Planning
Develop comprehensive test plans, test strategies, and test estimations for complex applications.
Define and enforce testing standards, best practices, and quality processes.
Collaborate with product owners, architects, developers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and define acceptance criteria.
Automation Testing
Design, build, and maintain automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver with C.
Implement and optimize BDD frameworks using Cucumber, SpecFlow, or similar tools.
Ensure automation scripts follow coding standards, modularity, and reusability principles.
Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps/Jenkins/GitHub Actions).
API Testing
Develop automated API test suites using RESTSharp (C) or RestAssured (Java).
Validate REST APIs for functionality, performance, reliability, and security.
Work with Swagger/Postman collections to build robust test coverage.
Non Functional & Performance Testing
Participate in or coordinate NFR testing including performance, reliability, usability, and security validations.
Assist performance engineers in designing and reviewing performance test scenarios.
Quality Leadership
Lead a team of test engineers, providing technical guidance and mentoring.
Review test cases, automation scripts, and test coverage.
Drive defect triaging, root cause analysis, and continuous quality improvement.
Work closely with DevOps to ensure smooth automation execution and result reporting.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain clear documentation of test scenarios, execution results, and coverage metrics.
Provide regular test reports, dashboards, and quality insights to stakeholders.
