Role & seniority: Test/Manufacturing Engineer (individual contributor; mid-to-senior level) responsible for planning, debugging, and managing test programs on high-volume ATE platforms.
Stack/tools: Automated Test Equipment (ATE) platforms (LTXC Sapphire, Verigy 93K); test hardware/software; device‑level IP; oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, voltmeters; JTAG IEEE 1149.1; hardware description languages; C/C++/Java/C#/scripting (Perl, Ruby, shell); Linux/Unix; Git/SVN/CVS; Agile practices.
Develop, debug, and maintain manufacturing and characterization test programs for advanced AMD microprocessors.
Troubleshoot ATE infrastructure (hardware, software, IP) to ensure quality, compliance, and robust test coverage.
Support product definition, qualification, and high-volume manufacturing readiness; drive yield/cost/quality improvements through data analysis and structured debug.
ATE-based silicon debug, test specification, timing, vectors/patterns, hardware interaction
Hands-on test instrumentation (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, voltmeters)
JTAG, HDL, digital logic fundamentals; Linux/Unix proficiency
Data analysis (statistical/Pareto methods); programming in C/C++/Java/C#; scripting (Perl, Ruby, shell)
Familiarity with computer architecture (pipelining, caching, x86)
Experience with Agile, version control (Git/SVN/CVS)
