Job Description
An e-mobility backend platform is an essential part of a charging infrastructure. An electric vehicle (EV) driver depends on a reliable and error-free infrastructure and applications. Such a need can only be achieved by extensive and regular (automated) testing of all software components. As a result, the EV driver is offered the most worry-free charging experience as possible.
As a Test Automation Engineer, you drive the test activities within an interdisciplinary agile software development team in the context of a web portal. You ensure the desired product and process quality with suitable test methodologies. The design, implementation, maintenance and implementation of automatic and manual test cases is the essential part of your daily work. You will report bugs, re-test related software changes and help with troubleshooting bugs. You act as sparring partner for the Product Owner, the Developers and the Test Management. You can teach test methodologies to other testers. You will work with international colleagues in our scaled agile software development program using SAFe methodology and Scrum.
Qualifications
Closed academical studies, preferably B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Computer Sciences/Business Informatics or similar education
5+ years of professional experience as Quality Assurance Engineer OR Software Engineer
3+ years of professional experience as Test Automation Engineer
Experience with automating functional, integration and regression tests of micro services, web applications or web services
Ideally, experience with a test automation framework like Cypress, Selenium or Playwright, or the willingness to build-up this knowledge in a short term.
Knowledge of programming languages (JavaScript and/or TypeScript) and database querying (SQL and/or non-SQL).
Having ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) and ideally, with the Agile Tester (CTFL-AT) extension.
Fluent English
You are characterized by a high level of quality awareness and standards. You have an attention to detail and a passion for error-free software. You love to work in a team, you like to learn new things every day and like to communicate. Experience with agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban and ideally, SAFe. Ideally, experience in the EV charging business make it smoother
