Lead test engineering delivery across new client projects and engagements

Contribute to the national Community of Practice; coach/mentor Test Consultants; evaluate emerging technologies and represent Assurity in the tech community

As a Senior Test Engineer, you’ll take the lead in shaping how testing and quality engineering come to life across a range of exciting projects and client engagements. You’ll work directly with clients, helping them design, implement, and optimise testing strategies that deliver real value, and you’ll play a key role in lifting testing capability within Assurity and across the wider ICT community.
What you’ll be doing
Taking the lead on how test engineering’s delivered across new client projects and engagements Partnering with clients to design and deliver high-quality software solutions and business outcomes Providing technical expertise and guidance across frameworks, platforms, and tools - including modern automation and AI-driven testing approaches Contribution to our national Community of Practice, coaching and mentoring Test Consultants to grow their technical capability and confidence Driving innovation by evaluating emerging technologies and representing Assurity within the wider tech community Keeping an eye on what’s next by exploring emerging technologies particularly AI, and representing Assurity in the wider tech community.
What you’ll bring
Around 8 years’ experience in test engineering or technical testing. Strong background in automation testing, frameworks, and modern tools. You have very high coding standards, where you ensure code is readable, reusable yo have confidence to give feedback on other people’s code, providing improved solutions and better ways of working. You have a very strong architectural understanding with a view to how the whole stack and environment go together. Great presentation skills, you can clearly explain your strategy and recommendations to the business, including the ROI and benefits to senior stakeholders and non-technical people. You’re collaborate with a genuine interest in mentoring others and exploring how AI can enhance testing practices.
Playwright Maven/Gradle Cucumber/Specflow Subversion/Bitbucket/GitHub/GitLab UFT, Selenium Web Driver, TOSCA SoapUI, Postman, JMeter, Loadrunner HP ALM, Atlassian Jira, Zephyr etc
Experience with MCP and LLMs would be advantageous.
