Role & seniority: Software Engineer in Test (API Platform), hybrid role (not manual QA, not pure backend); 2–5 years experience; mid-level to early seniority.
Stack/tools: OpenAPI/Swagger; API testing frameworks (Postman/Newman); Python and JavaScript; bespoke spec-driven test generation framework.
Work with OpenAPI/Swagger schemas to design and automate tests.
Generate automated API test cases and implement boundary, negative, and permutation tests.
Evolve and maintain a bespoke, spec-driven test generation framework; contribute to platform ownership.
2–5 years in development, automation, or SDET roles.
Strong scripting in Python and/or JavaScript.
Experience with API testing and schema-driven systems.
