Role & seniority: Quality Engineer (entry/early-career) within Quality Assurance and Release Engineering
Stack/tools: Java and/or mobile languages; QA methodologies (black box, automated testing); automation collaboration (Cypress, Appium, XCUI, Espresso, KIF); SQL; Atlassian suite (Jira, Greenhopper, Clover); Agile team practices
Create and maintain testing documentation (test plans, cases/scripts, bug reports) and assess quality/risk
Automate features with the automation group to improve regression coverage; triage automation results
Conduct QA testing, verify outcomes on schedule, and collaborate with engineers, product managers, and other QA testers
Bachelor’s in Mathematics, Computer Science/Applications, or related field
Experience coding in Java and/or mobile languages
Knowledge of software QA methodologies and automated testing in a short-release software environment
Graduate or relevant work experience in software development or test automation; strong communication skills

The Role
We're hiring Quality Engineers to work on Veeva Vault, a rapidly growing SaaS platform product in the Life Sciences industry encompassing the fields of pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and medical devices.
As part of our Quality Assurance and Release Engineering team, you'll be responsible for functional and automation testing of software, ensuring customer success with every release.

What You'll Do
Create testing-related documentation, including test plans, test cases/scripts, and bug reports assessing quality and associated risk Automate and work closely with the automation group to automate features for better regression coverage Triage and/or assist with triaging of automation results Develop deep expertise in the product Conduct QA tests and verify outcomes within schedules/timelines Work with software engineers, product managers, and other QA testers in an Agile team environment
Requirements
Work in the nearest Veeva office four days/week Bachelor’s in Mathematics or Computer Science/Applications or a similar field Experience coding in Java AND/OR mobile languages Understanding of Software QA methodologies, tools, and approaches (black box and/or automated testing) in a software company with short-release cycles Graduate or relevant work experience, including software development and/or software test automation Curiosity and ability to quickly learn new technologies Strong verbal and written communication skills

Compensation
Base pay: $65,000 - $140,000 The salary range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary range for this role. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range above or below, depending on experience and location. We look at compensation for each individual and base our offer on your unique qualifications, experience, and expected contributions. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation in addition to base salary, such as variable bonus and/or stock bonus.
