About You You will plan, implement, and coordinate activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for production processes, materials, products, and parts. You will lead and participate in the development and maintenance of quality initiatives, projects, or certifications essential to the successful operations of STIHL.
Job Duties & Responsibilities Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation. Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data. Establishes programs to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities. Develops and implements methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility. Compiles and writes training material and conducts training sessions on quality activities. Coordinates and reports on achievement and maintenance of quality certifications. Participates and coordinates internal and external audits of STIHL processes, ensuring smooth and successful outcome of audits. Develops and generates statistical reports on inspection activities and results, new product or process testing results, etc. and recommends action as required. Maintains currency with respect to technical skills by attending training classes, special technical and administration courses, seminars, exhibits and trade shows as needed. All work affecting product quality shall be competent on the basis of appropriate education, training, skills, and experience. Assumes additional related responsibilities as required.
Specifications 4 year college degree in related discipline, preferably Mechanical Engineering. 4 plus years of related experience.
