Overview
We are seeking a full-time Seasonal Quality Tester at Garmin's U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the testing of Garmin's products and software in a team-oriented environment.
Essential Functions
Develop understanding of QA principles and methodologies in performance of essential functions Develop knowledge of Garmin product specifications, capabilities and operation related to the market segment being supported Execute test plans, scenarios, scripts, and/or procedures of simple complexity, in accordance with established Garmin test procedures Document defects in a defect management system and report defects to developers Collect and analyze test results and beta user feedback (when applicable) Investigate and verify issues reported to quality assurance for validity and reproducibility Work closely with engineering to assist in problem resolution Verify software modifications in new software versions to prepare for implementation Assist in test case maintenance as necessary to keep repository current
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma Excellent organizational and analytical skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0) Strong technical aptitude
Desired Qualifications
Associate's Degree or Technical certification from two-year college or technical school Outstanding academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.5) Previous work experience executing test cases and reporting results Previous experience using or testing devices related to a Garmin core product market Comfortable working independently (with minimal supervision) and with a team Comfortable working in a fast-paced and challenging environment
