About the Role
We are seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to support global e-commerce initiatives and marketing technology team. You will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and performance of Shopify-based platforms, combining manual and automated testing approaches to deliver seamless digital experiences.

What You’ll Do
Design and write detailed test cases for new features and existing functionalities across our Shopify applications. Perform a combination of manual and automated testing for Shopify customizations and custom applications. Collaborate closely with developers and product owners to understand new features and ensure quality is a priority throughout the development lifecycle. Execute various types of testing, including functional, integration, and end-to-end testing, on web and mobile platforms. Work with the development team to understand new features built with the Shopify app tech stack, including Node.js, Express.js, NestJS, Polaris, and Prisma. Maintain and execute existing automation test scripts to support our regression testing efforts. Contribute to the overall test strategy and maintain a test repository for all testing efforts.
Expertise You’ll Bring
Over 5 years of hands-on experience in QA, with at least 2 years focused on manual and automated testing. Proven experience in creating and executing detailed test cases. Proficiency in Agile methodologies and processes. Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration (CI) tools like Jenkins or CircleCI, as well as GIT. Expertise in creating Test Strategy, Test Plans, and Test Estimations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to collaborate with business and technical stakeholders. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
Familiarity with the Shopify tech stack: Node.js, Express.js, NestJS, Polaris, Prisma. Experience with load and performance testing. Knowledge of RESTful API testing. Experience testing mobile applications is a plus.
