Summary of the Team: The Travel, Shopping & Integration (TSI) division serves as a core product development powerhouse, responsible for building some of the most technically advanced and mission‑critical systems across the travel ecosystem. Within TSI, the APX – Alliance Partner Exchange product team plays a pivotal role in managing all Alliance and Bilateral partner integrations within the APM product. The team ensures seamless data exchange, robust interoperability, and high‑quality connectivity across global airline alliances. As part of the EXC organization, you will contribute to building and improving mission‑critical solutions that connect the Amadeus Loyalty Platform (ALM) with Loyalty partner, ensuring seamless and reliable integration across the airline ecosystem. By joining this division, you will become part of a highly skilled backend development and maintenance team. You will contribute to designing, developing, and optimizing complex backend engines and integration services—working on technically challenging components that power our partner connectivity and global travel shopping capabilities. What You Will Do In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to: Quality Strategy & Test Design Define test strategy and test plans (functional and non‑functional), ensuring traceability with specifications and customer requirements. Ensure compliance of test strategy with CI/CD guidelines, Green IT guidelines, SDL/STDL quality standards, and industry QA best practices (ISTQB, etc.). Design comprehensive test cases, scripts, and scenarios for new features and enhancements. Continuously assess and optimize regression suites—add/modify/remove test cases based on new product features, stability metrics, or flaky test analysis. Test Execution & Validation Prepare test environments and test data, and execute manual and automated test cases. Validate end‑to‑end system behavior, including API responses, backend data integrity, and integration flows across Amadeus Loyalty Management - PSS and Partners Integrations. Perform database validation using SQL for accrual/retro, transactions, and system consistency checks. Conduct basic performance/load testing using tools such as JMeter or Gatling (nice to have). Automation Engineering Assess the need for automation and automate selected or full test suites. Work with test automation frameworks (Robot, Playwright, or similar) and contribute to framework enhancements. Implement API automation frameworks (RestAssured, pytest‑requests, etc.). Follow industry-standard BDD practices (e.g., Cucumber/Behave) where applicable. Use Git for version control, branching, merging, and participating in code reviews. Maintenance, Quality & Collaboration Investigate PTRs (defects), validate fixes, and enrich test suites accordingly. Collaborate closely with software developers, product definition analysts, architects, and operations teams to ensure product quality. Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (grooming, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives). Contribute to QA documentation: test reports, coverage metrics, defect logs, risk analyses. Promote strong QA culture and best practices in cross‑functional teams and quality communities.
