Job Description

Design and build equipment and fixtures to conduct testing. Conduct agency and performance tests on parts and products. Create, modify, and expand test plans and procedures. Collect and analyze test data. Generate written reports of test results accurately and draw sound conclusions and observations. Set up and operate lab equipment and contribute to the organization and layout of the lab for increased efficiency. Accurately read and interpret engineering drawings and make accurate prototype parts, assemblies, and products. Assist in maintaining the calibration of the lab equipment. Support and participate in new product development Lean activities.

Responsibilities

Design and build equipment and fixtures for testing purposes. Conduct agency and performance tests on parts and products. Create, modify, and expand test plans and procedures. Collect and analyze test data, generating accurate reports. Set up and operate lab equipment to enhance efficiency. Read and interpret engineering drawings for prototype development. Maintain calibration of lab equipment. Support new product development Lean activities such as DFMEA and design reviews. Assist engineers with the design and development of test machinery and equipment. Provide testing and engineering support for Engineered Solution and Value Engineering projects.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in testing, electrical systems, and troubleshooting. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. Experience with test equipment, prototype development, and performance testing. Competence in wiring and working with test fixtures. Proficiency in using tools such as calipers, micrometers, force gauges, pressure gauges, and voltage meters. Ability to analyze test results and write technical lab reports. Proficiency in using computer software for data analysis and test station operation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

A 2-year technical degree is preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience in an engineering test lab. Experience in creating and running performance tests.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Anoka, MN.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $37.00/hr.
