Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Test Technician to join our team. Our organization designs, builds, and services critical infrastructure that enables vital applications for data centers, communication networks, and commercial and industrial facilities. In this role, you will perform functional testing of UPS, Charger, and Inverter modules, conduct witness tests, and verify conformance to specified requirements. You will work alongside a team of engineers and technicians in a clean manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Perform functional testing of UPS, Charger, and Inverter modules. Conduct witness tests and assist Test Engineers in conducting these tests. Verify conformance to all specified requirements. Perform electrical tests and systems testing on UPS units. Design and develop instrumentation systems that incorporate uncertainty analysis for accurate testing. Collect data using electronic equipment. Conduct physical and functional inspections of electrical components. Operate test bays/stations and associated equipment. Troubleshoot and repair faulty components. Assess product evaluation against engineered standards, including UL/CSA/IEEE standards. Review order write-ups and operate components to ensure product quality. Configure and connect system equipment, such as switchgear, SCCT cabinets, and power ties. Perform preliminary inspections and tests.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's or associate's degree in Electronics. Minimum of 6 months of electronics experience. Experience in electronic testing. Knowledge of electrical circuitry.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with PCB, Test Engineering, and Electrical Circuits. Knowledge of analog and digital circuitry. Familiarity with electrical instruments and electronic testing equipment.
Work Environment
This position is based in a clean manufacturing environment, working alongside 12 other engineers and technicians. The role involves shift work: 3rd shift from 10:30pm to 7am Monday to Friday; 2nd shift from 2:30pm to 11:00pm, with overtime and Saturdays required; and 1st shift from 6am to 2:30pm, with potential overtime on Saturdays. You will have the opportunity to work with high-tech equipment, supporting the growing Data Center industry, and collaborate with major industry players. There is potential for career growth into a Test Engineering role after two years in the Test Technician position.
