JOB DESCRIPTION Position Summary We are seeking a Network Engineer III – NetDevOps to drive network automation and modernize infrastructure operations. This role focuses on automating network configuration, management, and monitoring by integrating networking systems into CI/CD pipelines. The goal is to reduce manual effort, improve reliability, increase scalability, and enhance security across the enterprise network environment. This position blends strong networking expertise with software development and DevOps practices. The ideal candidate thrives in an Agile environment and partners effectively with engineering, operations, and security teams to deliver stable, predictable, and secure network services.
Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain network automation solutions using infrastructure-as-code principles. Develop scalable automation scripts for configuration management, provisioning, and drift remediation. Integrate network automation into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Git and other SCM platforms. Build and maintain API-driven workflows across network platforms (Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Palo Alto, F5, Citrix Netscaler, SilverPeak, etc.). Utilize tools such as Ansible, Gluware, Terraform, and Python to automate network deployments and operational tasks. Investigate and resolve network incidents, performance issues, and outages using automation-first approaches. Enhance security posture by automating vulnerability detection, policy enforcement, and compliance remediation. Promote NetDevOps best practices, including version control, testing, documentation, and continuous improvement. Document automation workflows, standards, and architectural decisions. Collaborate cross-functionally to improve system reliability, performance, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications 7+ years of Network Engineering 3+ years of experience in network automation, NetDevOps, or related roles. Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, DevNet, or similar preferred. Hands-on experience with major network platforms (Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Palo Alto, F5, etc.). Strong knowledge of networking protocols (BGP, OSPF, VLAN, VXLAN, EVPN, VPN). Experience with configuration management, vulnerability remediation, and compliance automation. Proficiency in Python scripting, REST APIs, RESTCONF/NETCONF, and common data formats (JSON, YAML). Experience using Git and CI/CD pipelines in a network automation environment. Familiarity with tools such as NetBox, Nautobot, IP Fabric, or similar source-of-truth platforms. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
