Optomi, in partnership with a leading enterprise organization, is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to join an established quality engineering team. This role offers a balanced blend of manual and automation testing within a mature framework, with the opportunity to increase automation ownership over time.
This position sits on a team of five QA engineers and supports ongoing application enhancements in a structured Agile environment.
Role Overview
60% manual / 40% automation testing (with potential to increase automation focus)
Work within an already established automation framework
Collaborate closely with business analysts, developers, and product managers
Contribute to continuous improvement of testing strategy and processes
Key Responsibilities
Perform both manual and automated testing across web and API-based applications
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard frameworks
Execute functional validation of software requirements and user stories
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design effective test cases
Participate in test planning and strategy discussions
Execute automated tests, investigate failures, and work with developers to resolve issues
Document test cases, results, and defect details for traceability and knowledge sharing
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
