Job Description / Responsibility

Job Context

• We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior QA Analyst to ensure the quality, reliability, and accuracy of our financial backend systems and reporting platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in testing .NET Core applications, validating complex SQL Server data, and ensuring that report migrations (Legacy to Windward/Apryse) convert a large volume of reports with contextual and visual accuracy. This role requires a blend of manual precision and some automated testing capabilities within an Agile environment to implement an efficient process for comparing the reports. In addition, preference would be given to candidates with performance testing experience to help ensure that the volume of records generated will be maintainable.

Responsibilities

Report & Document Validation: Perform rigorous "side-by-side" testing of migrated reports (Crystal/SSRS to Windward) to ensure 100% data and formatting accuracy.

API Testing: Validate RESTful APIs using tools like Postman or Swagger to ensure backend services meet functional requirements.

Database Testing: Write complex SQL queries to verify data integrity, stored procedure logic, and backend calculations.

Regression Testing: Execute manual and automated regression suites to ensure new .NET Core deployments do not impact existing financial logic.

Defect Management: Identify, document, and track software defects using Azure DevOps or similar tools.

Environment Support: Collaborate with the DevOps team to validate deployments within Docker/Kubernetes and Linux environments.

Agile Collaboration: Participate in Scrum ceremonies and collaborate with Software Engineers and Business stakeholders to define clear acceptance criteria.

Educational Requirements Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science

Experience Requirements 5 to 10 year(s)

Additional Requirements

Experience: 5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, preferably in Financial Services.

Strong expertise in SQL Server; ability to write complex joins and validate data models.
