Full Description

We are searching for a Test Engineer who will ensure the successful qualification of in-house software products and third-party integrations as fit for purpose. This role sits within the Test Team and supports the delivery of high-quality solutions across physical access control, transaction management, command and control systems, digital video and intrusion detection platforms.

The position is predominantly focused on manual software application testing, while also encompassing Web and Mobile application testing, as well as Hardware and Firmware validation. The successful candidate will work hands-on with integrated systems to ensure products meet design specifications and perform reliably within real-world enterprise environments.

Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive manual testing of software applications to validate functionality, performance and reliability Perform integrated software and hardware testing across access control, video, intrusion detection and command/control systems Create, maintain and execute detailed test cases derived from product specifications Record structured Test Runs to provide clear evidence of product maturity, traceability and coverage Identify, clearly document and track defects using a centralised defect management system Create and maintain release notes and supporting product documentation related to test activities Suggest and formally record product enhancements for consideration in future releases Identify opportunities to improve overall test quality, processes and coverage Highlight and explore opportunities for future automated testing initiatives Set up and maintain test environments using Windows Server, virtual machine technologies and web back-end systems Configure IT systems to accurately replicate real-world customer network environments at enterprise scale Develop creative and robust test scenarios aligned to complex enterprise use cases Work hands-on with physical devices to conduct fully integrated system testing Contribute to the organisation’s continuous improvement initiatives and quality standards
