Salary: USD 35–42 per hour
Role & seniority: Test Engineer, mid-level position focused on hands-on test development and automation; self-driven, collaborative, cross-functional ownership.
Stack/tools: Azure DevOps pipelines; API testing; test automation frameworks; CI/CD experience; testing tools such as Xray or TestRail; familiarity with SPA frameworks (Angular, React, Blazor); cloud-native apps hosted in Azure or AWS.
Design, develop, and implement automated test plans and scripts; expand and maintain the test automation framework.
Perform API testing and create end-to-end System Integration test cases to guide regression automation; identify tooling improvements to boost efficiency while upholding quality.
Collaborate in an agile, team-based environment with DevOps Engineers and Developers; participate in agile ceremonies; help establish a quality-focused culture.
Practical experience in automated testing and test framework development; API testing; working with CI/CD pipelines.
Ability to assess product/code health and apply modern testing approaches; proactive and self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with SPA web apps and cloud-native deployments (Azure or AWS); collaborative, minimum supervision work style.
Security testing and performance testing experience.
Experience with Xray or TestRail; deeper exposure to Azure DevOps.

Description
The Test Engineer will support the program with hands-on test development and execution experience implementing automated testing and integration into Azure DevOps pipelines. This tester is primarily responsible for designing, expanding, improving, and maintaining our test automation framework. This tester should be self-starting and proactive; they are expected to serve as a trusted resource on the business logic in place as well as our system architecture. They are expected to work collaboratively, with minimal supervision, on teams including DevOps Engineers and Developers to ensure our application meets users' needs, as well as business requirements and scalability characteristics. Each team member is expected to be cross-functional and take collective ownership to ensure deliverables are met and superb quality is achieved.
Design, develop, and implement test plans and test scripts emphasizing automation
Create tests in the context of a collaborative, team-based environment
Identify and implement innovative tools, frameworks, automation, and utilities to increase efficiency while maintaining and improving quality standards
Apply technical, business, and quality skills to assess product and code health, implement modern testing approaches, and prevent production defects.
Help establish a highly collaborative environment that values quality
Perform API level testing
Actively participate in agile meetings with product and program management
Have a proactive attitude and a willingness to "go the extra mile" to get the job done
Create end-to-end System Integration test cases to use as a design for developing regression automated tests.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
Experience with testing tools such as Xray or TestRail
Security testing experience a plus
Performance testing experience a plus
Self-motivated, quick learner with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $42.00/hr.
